Ab dieser Zeit bereitete er mehrere Jungen erfolgreich auf die Quarta und Tertia des Gymnasiums bzw. auf die Aufnahme in das Schullehrerseminar vor. Aufgrund der gestiegenen Nachfrage entschied sich der örtliche Schulvorstand 1849</ins>, <ins style="font-weight: bold; text-decoration: none;">eine [[Schulwesen|höhere Knabenschule bzw. "Fortbildungsklasse"]] </ins>zu <ins style="font-weight: bold; text-decoration: none;">gründen, an der der [[Vikare|Vikar]] fortan mit Unterstützung durch die beiden [[Lehrer|Elementarschullehrer]] unterrichtete. Der [[Kirchenvorstand]] erhöhte sein Gehalt von 234 auf 430 Taler, und die beiden anderen Pfarrgeistlichen übernahmen die Seelsorge an den Wochentagen allein. Wahrscheinlich aufgrund der gestiegenen Schülerzahl beschloss der [[Kirchenvorstand]] im Februar 1855, das Gehalt Schloßmachers rückwirkend ab </ins>dem <ins style="font-weight: bold; text-decoration: none;">Jahr 1854 auf 600 Taler zu erhöhen.&lt;ref&gt;PfAZ, Nr. 138, unpagin.
